Hiram 5 I'm back in for another chapter of Charlotte's Web this time I'm reading chapter 6 called summer days and now I'm reading one piece chapter think about how you could describe or summarize this chapter think about the events the main events that happened in this chapter and what order you would write them down in if you're looking at your or at the papers chapter 6 page has a graphic organizer where you could record so that's just the opportunity to think about for this chapter here we go chapter 6 summer days the early summer days on a farm are the happiest country nearest days of the year lilacs bloom is he lilacs bloom and make there are sweet and then fade apple blossoms come with the lilacs and the Beast visit of round amongst apple trees the days grow warm and soft school ends and children have time to play and a fish for trout in the brook we often brought a trout when is pocket warm and stiff and ready to be fried for supper now that school is over Fern visited the bar and almost every day to sit quietly on her stool the animals treated her as an equal the chief play calmly atrophy around the 1st of July the workhorses were hitched to the mowing machine and mr. Zuckerman climbed into the seat and drove into the field all morning you could hear the rattle of the machine as it went round ground while the Tall Grass spelled down behind the gutter bar in Long greens with twists next day if there was no thundershower all hands would help rake and pitch and the hay would be hauled to the barn and the house was burning Avery riding at the top of the loan then the hay would be hoisted sweet and warm into the Loft until the whole Barn see if I can wonderful bed of Timothy and closer it was fine to jump in and perfect to hide in and sometimes Avery would find a little grass snake in the hay and would add it to the other things in his pocket Avery likes to stick things in his paw early summer days are Jubilee time for birth in the fields around the house in the barn in the woods and the swamp everywhere love and song The Nest fan from the edge of the woods the white-throated sparrow let's must come all the way from Boston calls Phoebe Teeters and Wags tail and says TV TV and the song Sparrow who knows how brief and lovely life is so sweet sweet sweet sweet sweet sweet interlude if you enter the barn swallows swoop down from the cast of schooled Chiki Chiki in early summer there are plenty of things for a child to eat and drink and and chew Danny Line Stands are full of milk overheads are loaded with nectar praderas full of ice cold drinks everywhere you look at look his life even the little ball of spit on the weed stock if you poke it apart has a green warm inside and on the undersigned side of the leaf of the potato vine are the bright orange eggs of the potato bug it was on a day in early summer that the goose eggs hatched this was an important in the barn fell it burn was there sitting on a stool when it happened except for the goose herself Charlotte was the first to know that the goslings had it last arrived the goose do a day in advance if they were coming I hear they're weak voice is calling from inside the egg and she knew that they were in a desperately cramped position inside the shell and we're most anxious to break through and get out so she sat quite still in top Aspen usual when the first Gosling poked its gray-green head for the goose feathers and looked around Charlotte spied it and made the announcement I'm sure she said that every one of us here will be gratified to learn that after four weeks of unremitting effort and patience on the part of our friend the goose she now has something to show for it but things have arrived. congratulations thank you thank you thank you so the goose nodding and battling shamelessly thank you for the gander congratulations how many gospels are there I only see one there are seven said the goose fine said Charlotte seven is a lucky number luck had nothing to do with this the goose said it was good management and hard at this point Templeton showed his nose from his height hiding place under Wilbert's drop he glanced it burn and then keeping close to the wall everyone wants him for he was not well-liked and not trust look he began in his shirt boys you say you have seven goslings there were in eggs what happened to the other egg watch it's a dud I guess that the goose what are you going to do with it continue Templeton his little round beady eyes fixed on the goose you can have it replied the goose Rodeway Inn added to that nasty collection of yours Templeton had a habit of picking up unusual objects around the farm and storing them in his home he saved everything Italy Italy Italy said the gander you may have the egg but I tell you one thing Templeton if I ever catch you poke on keune poking your ugly nose around our godley's I'll give you the worst I need a rap ever took and a gander opened his strong wings and feet the air with him to show his power he was strong and brave but the truth is the goose and the gander were worried about Templeton and with good reason the rap has no moral no conscience no Scruples no consideration no decency no milk of rodent kindness no compunctions compunctions no higher feelings no friendliness anything he would kill a gosling if he could get away with it and the goose knew that everybody knew that and here's the goose and the gander and fern and there's Templeton rolling away the egg that did not hatch with her broadell the coolest push the unhatched egg out of the nest Beer Company watched in disgust while the wrap rolls it away even Wilbur who could eat almost anything was appalled imagine wanting a junky old rotten egg he muttered rat is a rat that Charlotte and she laughed a tinkling little left but my friends if a tainted egg ever breaks this Farm will be unbearable does that mean act Wilbur it means nobody will be able to if you're on the Cannabis smell a rotten egg is that a regular stink bomb I won't break it snow Templeton I know what I'm doing I handle stuff like this all the time he disappeared into his tunnel I'm in front of him until he succeeded in rolling it to his lair under the trough that afternoon when the wind had died down in the barnyard was quiet and warm The Grey Goose letter 7 goslings off the nested out into the world mr. Zuckerman spied them and when he came with Wilbur supper well hello there he said smiling all over 2 3 4 5 6 7 7 baby geese Now isn't that lovely hey so that's the end of that chapter the next chapter chapter 7 is called bad news so think about what what kind of bad news could there be coming for the animals in the barnyard all right see you next time
