Zuckerman took the metal from where Mac and hung it on a nail over the pigpen where visitors could examine it well for himself could look at it whenever he wanted to in the days that followed he was very happy Groot was great he no longer worried about being killed mr. Ackerman would keep him as long as he lived will be awesome thought of Charlotte a few strands of her old Webb still hung in the doorway everyday wilderwood stand and look at the tour Nancy Webb and the lump would come to his throat no one had ever had such a friend so affectionate so loyal so skillful the Autumn days grow shorter there be brought the squashes and pumpkins in from the garden and piled them on the barn floor where they wouldn't get nipped on frosty nights the Maples and birches turn bright colors and the wind system drop their leaves one by one to the ground under the wild apple trees in the pasture the little red apples lay stick on the ground and the Steep nod on them and the geese nod on them and saw came in the night and sniffed at them one evening just before Christmas snow began to fall a covered house and barn and fields and woods Wilbur had never seen snow before when morning came he went out and plowed the drift in his yard for the fun of it for an Avery arrive driving a sled and they coasted down the lane and out onto the frozen pond in the past posting is the Benares that Avery the most fun there is recorded for an is when the ferris wheel stops and Henry and I are in the top car and Henry makes the car swing and we can see everything from miles and miles and goodness are you still thinking about that old ferris wheel and Avery and discussed the fair was weeks and weeks and weeks ago I think about it all the time said Fern picking snow from her after Christmas the thermometer dropped to 10 below zero cold settled on the world the pastor was Bleak and Frozen the cows stayed in the barn all the time now acceptance mornings when they went out and stood in the barnyard in the league of this job hire the Sheep stayed near them to for protection and when they were thirsty date snow the geese hung around the Barnyard the way the boys hang around drug mr. Zuckerman fed them corn and turnips to keep them cheerful many many many many things they always said he's coming Templeton moved indoors when the winter came ratty home under the pig trough was too chilly so he fixed himself a cozy nest in the barn behind the grain bin he lined it with bits of newspapers and rags and whenever he found a trinket your Keepsake he carried it home and store he continued to visit Wilbur three times a day exactly at mealtime and Wilbur kept the promise. Me Wilbur let the rat first then when Templeton couldn't hold another mouthful will I would eat as a result of overeating Templeton bigger and fatter than any Rat you ever saw he was gigantic he was as big as a young woodchuck here's how big Templeton is getting kind of disgusting isn't it field sheep spoke to him about his size one day you would live longer Suffield cheap if you ate less what's the weather over near the rat I Am Naturally a heavy eater and I get Untold satisfaction from the pleasure of the feast he's had in his stomach and grinned at the sheet and crept upstairs to lie down winter will be watched over Charlotte's egg Sac is that what he regarding his own children he had scooped out a special place in the manure for the fat connect to the board fence on very cold 19 days so that his breath 14 Wilbur Nothing in life was so important as a small round object nothing else mattered patiently here way to the end of the winter and the coming of the little spiders life is always a rich and steady time when you're waiting for something to happen or to hatch and the winter ended at last I heard the frogs today said the old cheap one evening listen you can hear them now Wilbur Stood Still in Cactus years from the pond and shrill course can the voices of hundreds of little frog Springtime stuff is old sheet thoughtfully another spring as she walked will do song Mule am following her it was only a few hours old the Snows melted and ran away the streams and ditches bubbled and chatted with Rushing Water a sparrow with a streaky breast arrived and saying the lights strengthened the mornings came sooner almost every morning there was another new lamb in the seat fold the goose was sitting on 9 Innings this guy seems wider and a warm wind blew the last remaining strands of Charlotte's old web floated away and vanished what fine Sunny morning after breakfast will be stood watching his precious back he wasn't thinking of any much as he stood there he noticed something more or something sees me something move he stepped closer and stared tiny spider called in the stack it was no bigger than a play sand no bigger than the head of a pin its body was gray with a black stripe underneath its legs were gray and tan just like Charlotte Wilbur trembled all over when he saw and the little spider him then we'll burn look more closely two more little spiders crawl down and waved climb the round and round on the staff exploring their new world then three more little spiders then 8 and 10 Charlotte's children were here at last Wilbur's heart pounded he began to squeal then he raced in circles kicking manure in the air then he turned a backflip and he planted his feet front feet I need to stop in front of Charlotte's children he said she said hello but it's voice was so small Wilbur couldn't hear it I'm a friend of your mother said Wilbur I am glad to see you is everything all right the little spiders wave their four legs at him will they could see by the way they act as if they were glad to see him is there anything I can get you is there anything you need young spiders just waved for several days and several nights they crawl here and there and up and down in about waiting at Wilbur trailing tiny drag lines behind them and exploring their new home there were dozens and dozens and will they couldn't count them but he knew that he had a great many new friends they grew quite quite rapidly and soon each was as big as a BB shot they make tiny webs near the stack then came a quiet morning when mr. Zuckerman open the door on the North side a warm draft of rising air blue softly through the barn Cellar the air smelled the damper of the spruce Woods of the sweet game time the baby spiders felt the warm up draft one spider climb to the top of the fence and then it did something that came as a great surprise to Wilbur the spider stood on his head and pointed it spinner in the air and let loose a cloud of fine felt the silk for him to find a balloon as Wilbur Watts the spider that go over the fence and Rose into the air goodbye it said it's Dale to the screamed Wilbur where do you think you're going by there was already out of sight and then another baby spider called up on the top of the fence and stood on its head and made a balloon and sailed away and then another and another and the air was soon filled with tiny balloons each balloon carrying a baby spider Wilbur was frantic Charlotte's babies were disappearing at a great rate come back children he cried goodbye goodbye goodbye at last one little spider took enough time to stop and talk to Wilbur before making its full we're leaving here on the warm-up dress this is our moment for setting for we are are not and we are going out into the world to make webs for ourselves will they get very upset watching them all take off we're at 12 or wherever the wind takes near far east west north south we take to the breeze Wego is weekly are all of you going as Wilbur you can't I would be left alone with no friends your mother wouldn't want that I'm sure it was now so full of lumos that the barn Cellar looked almost as though a missed two gathered Balloons by the dozens were Rising circling and drifting away through the door sailing off on the gentle winds price of stability goodbye goodbye game weekly 2 Wilbur's years she couldn't bear to watch any more in sorrow he sank to the ground and close his eyes this seems like the end of the world is there to buy Charlotte's children self to sleep it was late afternoon and he looked at the eggs that it was empty he looked into the air the balloons were gone then he wants to be early to the doorway was Charlotte's Web used to be standing there thinking of her when he heard a small voice salutations it said I'm up here so am I said another tiny boys so am I said a third voice three of us are staying I like this place and we like you Wilbur looked at the top of the doorway three small webs were being constructed on each web working busily with one of Charlotte's daughters can I take the test said Wilbur or S Wilbur that you have definitely decided to live here in the barn and if I'm going to have three friends you can indeed to the spider's what are your names please asked Wilbur trim and here's Wilbur looking up I can see the three webs in the doorway I'll tell you my name replied the first little spider if you tell me why you're trembling I'm trembling Joyce Ed Wilbur then my name is Joy so the first spider what was my mother's middle initial ask the second spider said Wilbur for me something not too long not too fancy Wilbur's. Hart Nelly I like that very much that the 3rd speed spider you may call me Nellie she didn't really fast and her or blind to the next book of the web Wilbert Hart brims with happiness he felt that he could admit he should make a short speech on the ferry important occasion to the bar seller you have chosen a hollow doorway from which to Spring to string your webs I think it is only fair to tell you that I was devoted to your mother I owe my very life to her she was brilliant beautiful and loyal to the end and I still always treasure her memory to you her daughter's I plugged my friendship forever and ever I pledge mine said Joy I do to sit around you and so do I said Nelly Just I'm stuck at a small nap it was a happy day for Wilbur and many more happy tranquil Day Spa load is timer on the months in years came and went he was never without friends from did not I'm regularly to the barn anymore he was growing up and was careful to avoid zits childish things like sitting on a milk stool near pigpen but Charles has children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren year after year lived in the doorway each bring their new little spiders hatching out to take the place of the old most of them sailed away on their balloons but always two or three states instead of housekeeping in the doorway mr. Zuckerman took fine care of Wilbur all the rest of his days and the pain was often visited my friends and admirers for no one ever forgot the year of his Triumph and the Miracle of the web life in the barn was very good night de winter and summer spring and fall Double Days and bright days it was the best place to be this warm delicious seller with the with the geese and the changing Seas the heat of the Sun in the passage of swallows The Nearness of rap the sameness of sheep the love of spiders and the smell of manure and the glory of everything Wilburn never forgot Charlotte he love to children and grandchildren dearly none of the new spiders ever quite took her place in his heart she was in a class by herself it's not often that someone comes along who was a true friend and a good ride Charlotte was both at the end of one of my favorite book I hope you enjoyed it if you get a chance you should watch the movie really nice movie Logan movie and so if you told me that you'd already seen it so that's it for me for videos this year I hope you have a wonderful summer and I hope to see all of you on the last zoom on take care
