Here are the different "classifications" for Polygons. I hope this info graphic helps!
Part 1 of 2, June 1, 2020
It is Monday, June 1, 2020. Please find the video attached where I go over a diagram of the shapes and their categories. #30 is difficult in the workbook, so I went over a couple of those shapes as well.
If the shape DOES NOT have four sides, then it CANNOT be a Quadrilateral, which means it CANNOT be trapezoid or parallelogram (or rhombus). Trapezoid and parallelogram are BOTH types of quadrilaterals.
I made another graphic organizer on the computer that shows how there are categories of shapes (for example, a SQUARE belongs in ALL of the following "boxes" or categories: Rhombus (four equal sides), Parallelogram (the square's opposite sides are equal), Quadrilateral (it has four sides), AND POLYGON (it has more than three sides and is a closed figure).
I hope this helps!
Sincerely,
Ms. Moore

Dear Families of Room 1,
Happy Friday! As a reminder, I have given an extension on the math material. There are two Brainpop videos posted on TEAMS if children need additional support. Additionally, I posted a writing sample on TEAMS from today's comprehension lesson that was co-written with two classmates.
There is a space launch scheduled for Saturday at 12:22 PM PT. Please see NASA's website for more information. https://www.nasa.gov/specials/dm2/. (I watched the launch on Wednesday on YouTube LIVE through NASA's channel.)
We will be having our last week of instruction next week! Lesson plans will be posted by Sunday night. Have a great weekend!
Sincerely,
Jenna Moore
